and became a star in the sky. In such profound grief and astonishment, the label is deeply mourning the departed.”

Moonbin may have committed suicide, according to a statement given by local police and reported by Yonhap News.

Before joining Astro in 2016, Moonbin had already established himself in the entertainment business as a kid model and actor. He had been involved in the publication of an astonishing quantity of tracks as a member of the K-pop band, including three full-length albums and ten EPs, as well as two single albums, a typical format in South Korea of extremely short collections.

Their music had become extremely famous in South Korea, with several of their albums hitting No. 1 on the charts and several more reaching the top 10. Astro had success in the United States as well, with six of their albums reaching the top ten on the World Albums list.

In addition to his work with Astro, Moonbin was a part of the Moonbin & Sanha sub-group, in which he collaborated with fellow bandmate Yoon San-ha. The pair had released three EPs, all of which had charted in the top ten in South Korea. Incense, their most recent release, was released in January of this year.
