Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s second trailer aired on December 9, 2022, during The Game Awards 2022.

With the game’s release date approaching, EA opted to tease fans and potential purchasers even more with the Official Narrative Trailer, which provides additional fragments of the new game’s plot.

However, before the game’s release, EA released the final gameplay teaser, which also promised some major plot elements. It reveals new characters, boss fights, and maybe the game’s major antagonist.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay Changes

Respawn Entertainment’s Stig Asmussen indicated that the next game “will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and exciting ways.” Cal must learn new skills and strengthen his connection with the Force in order to survive.”

“Millions of Star Wars fans have been enthralled by the story of Cal Kestis, and we’re happy to be working with the world-class developers at Respawn to continue this epic adventure,” said Douglas Reilly, Lucasfilm Games’ vice president.

According to Asmussen in a recent Game Informer interview, one way the main gameplay loop is expanding is through five new combat postures. To make the most of any given situation, players will have to change positions on the fly, adjusting to different enemy kinds and fight arenas. For example, one option is to charge in with dual lightsabers, which is ideal for close-range combat. Instead, Cal may wield a lightsaber in one hand and a blaster in the other. On the way, here’s a look at all five combat stances:

  • Single Lightsaber
  • Double-sided Lightsaber
  • Dual Lightsabers
  • Cross Guard Lightsaber
  • Single Lightsaber & Blaster

The sequel will also include new force abilities, enemy varieties, and, of course, new locations to visit. Fans may expect a considerably simpler experience traveling these new worlds than in the past. That’s correct, rapid travel has been confirmed for the sequel, and Cal can further speed things up by riding a variety of new mounts in Jedi: Survivor.
