Earlier Life of Rishab Shetty
Rishab Shetty was born in the Karnataka village of Keradi, which is part of the Udupi Taluk. He completed his primary education at Kundapura before enrolling in Vijaya College to pursue a B.Com. While he was a student in Bengaluru, he began his theatrical career by acting in yakshagana performances. His success in these plays gave him the confidence to explore acting as a profession.

Rishab Shetty pursued various jobs after graduation, including selling water cans, real estate, and hotel labor. He earned a certificate in film directing from the Government Film and TV Institute in Bangalore while he was working.
He began his career as a clap boy, spot boy, assistant director, etc. in the film industry. He had a brief role as a policeman in Thuglak, which was his first significant appearance. Then, in Rakshit Shetty’s film Ulidavaru Kandante, he had a significant part.
His first film as a filmmaker, Ricky, was released in 2016 and opened to a mediocre box office performance. He also directed Sarkari Hi Pra Shale and Kirik Party in the same year, both of which were commercial successes.

Kantara and National Acclaim
Rishab Shetty, who also directed and featured in the film Kantara, collaborated with Hombale Films to distribute it in 2022. The film was first only released in the Kannada language, but following acclaim and a huge box office take, it was then made available in Hindi and four other Indian languages.
The film was well-received across the country, with various performers and film reviewers applauding it and his portrayal of the lead character.
